If you’ve ever dreamed of seeing your favourite indie beauty brand blow up into the next big thing – the kind you spot on high street shelves and all over TikTok – then listen up, because something exciting is happening in the UK beauty world.
Growth Studio has just announced Breakout Beauty UK – a brand-new accelerator programme that’s basically a turbo-charged bootcamp for beauty founders with serious potential. We’re talking about giving Britain’s most exciting skin, hair, makeup, nail, fragrance and sustainable beauty brands the support they need to go from cult to household name. Breakout Beauty UK is a brand new accelerator programme designed by Growth Studio to discover and support the next generation of British beauty entrepreneurs.

And the partners involved? Let’s just say they mean business. Boots, TikTok Shop, the British Beauty Council and venture capital firm Venrex are all on board. Oh, and beauty icons Trinny Woodall (Trinny London) and Mitchell Halliday (Made by Mitchell) are the programme’s ambassadors – ready to spill their real-life tips on building successful brands.
Trinny says she’s thrilled to be involved:
“Over the last nearly ten years, I have built Trinny London and understand the determination it takes to build a successful brand. I can’t wait to share my insights with the Breakout Beauty founders.”
Mitchell’s take? Pure energy:
“UK beauty founders are serving creativity like no one else – the ideas, the passion, the edge? Unreal. We’re hunting for the next big name – the ones with vision, fire, and the guts to go all the way.”
What’s in it for founders?
Over six weeks, ten finalist founders will get hands-on mentorship, expert clinics, investment guidance, retail opportunities, and a network that money can’t buy. Big names like Marina Kalenchyts (Wonderskin), Michael Douglas (MD London) and Jamie Genevieve (Vieve) will be on hand to share their expertise.

The programme kicks off 27 October to 3 December 2025, with applications opening 11 August.
Categories are wide open – makeup, hair, skin, nails, fragrance, and of course, sustainable beauty. The only criteria? You need to already be in business, making at least £150,000 a year, and have a brand that’s market ready.
And the prize?
Two lucky winners will each scoop a game-changing package worth over £350,000. Think:
- A 12-month listing in ten of Boots’ biggest stores and on boots.com
- PR and marketing support
- Access to Boots’ beauty experts and event space at their stunning Battersea Beauty store
- TikTok Shop perks including discounted fees, advertising, live shopping training, marketing investment and creator matchmaking
That’s the kind of exposure most founders dream of.
Why this matters for UK beauty lovers
The UK beauty scene is already buzzing – worth over £30bn – but many talented founders still struggle to scale. Programmes like Breakout Beauty UK are here to change that, giving small brands the tools, confidence and connections they need to compete with the global heavyweights.

Boots says they’re in it to “bring fresh innovation and exciting new products to the UK high street” and TikTok Shop is calling itself the “launchpad for the next generation of beauty businesses.”
And honestly? We can’t wait to see which brands make it through.
If you’re a founder ready to take your beauty brand from breakout to big league, you can apply from 11 August via Growth Studio’s website. And if you’re a beauty obsessive like us, keep an eye out – the next skincare saviour, makeup must-have or hair hero you’re about to fall in love with could be on the Breakout Beauty UK roster.
