Gemma Atkinson celebrated the latest launch from her beauty brand Gem & Tonic with an intimate lunch in Manchester – and I was ecstatic to be there on behalf of Parlor and as a beauty writer who loves to get the low down on the latest in beauty.
Earlier this September, Parlor joined Gemma Atkinson at Caravan in Manchester for an intimate lunch celebrating the newest addition to her Gem & Tonic beauty line: the Reset + Recover Night Cream.
The new overnight moisturiser joins Gem & Tonic’s growing collection of straightforward, fuss-free beauty products, created with busy lifestyles in mind.

What is Gem & Tonic?
Founded by Gemma Atkinson, Gem & Tonic was created to simplify modern beauty routines without compromising on results.
The philosophy behind the brand is refreshingly straightforward: effective, easy-to-use products designed to slot into everyday life without turning your skincare routine into a lengthy ritual.
One of the more distinctive elements of the range is its use of mineral-rich gemstones alongside science-backed skincare formulations. Ingredients used across the collection include magnesium-rich Olivine and iron-rich Hematite, with formulas designed to revive tired-looking skin, protect its glow and refresh your routine.
It’s an approach that feels particularly fitting for Atkinson, whose life encompasses work, fitness and motherhood – and it’s this understanding of genuinely busy routines that sits at the heart of Gem & Tonic.

Meet the Reset + Recover Night Cream
The latest launch is the Gem & Tonic Reset + Recover Night Cream, an overnight moisturiser featuring Hematite and Ashwagandha.
Designed to be used as part of an evening routine, the launch continues Gem & Tonic’s focus on uncomplicated skincare: products that can easily be incorporated into your existing routine rather than requiring multiple additional steps.
The new cream also continues the gemstone theme found throughout the range, with iron-rich Hematite sitting alongside Ashwagandha in the formula.
Celebrating the launch over lunch at Caravan gave us the chance to hear more about Gemma’s approach to the brand and the thinking behind its latest addition – and, of course, get our hands on the new night cream to put it to the test. There was alos a sleep expert who attended, sharing some insightful information about sleep habits, with tips and tricks for us to take on.
What we particularly like about Gem & Tonic is that it isn’t trying to sell the idea that an effective beauty routine needs to be complicated.
At a time when we’re constantly being introduced to new ingredients, lengthy routines and yet another skincare step we’re supposedly missing, there’s something appealing about a brand deliberately going in the opposite direction.

Gem & Tonic Reset & Recover Night Cream Review
This nourishing night cream is arguably one of the easiest products to incorporate into a routine: apply before bed and let it do its thing while you sleep. It has a very subtle scent to it, as I like to keep fragranced products at bay in my own routine. I like that it has the addition of Squalane – a hydrating ingredient that is really nice with seed oils to contribute to deeply nourished skin.
I’ve been using this on and off for the last fortnight and can say it’s a lovely skin recovery cream for those who aren’t wanting to use skin-fixing, acid products while they sleep. But instead, want to opt for a gentle, skin nourishing cream that works with your skin.
The Gem & Tonic Reset + Recover Night Cream is available now from the Gem & Tonic website.
