If you’re looking for a soothing, effective skincare ritual that’s perfect for sensitive skin – and also makes a lovely Christmas gift- then the Pai Skincare Rosehip Ritual set is a great pick. I mean, have you heard all the hype about a Gua Sha routine at home? Chiseled cheekbones, snatched jawline, lifted cheeks…. it didn’t take much to get my practising.
The secret to an effective Gua Sha at home is a good quality cleansing routine and a facial oil that works for your skin. Rosehip oil is a firm all time favourite of mine, because I’m someone with sensitive skin and prone to red marks, which Rosehip is fantastic at treating.
This set from Pai includes their Light Work™ Cleansing Oil mini, Rosehip Bioregenerate™ Face Oil mini and a beautiful Aventurine gua sha massage stone. Ready to learn how to turn it into a relaxed, at-home spa experience?

Why this Rosehip and Gua Sha routine works
- The face oil is powered by rosehip – rich in omegas 3, 6, 7 & 9 and antioxidants – so it’s great for restoring radiance and nourishment, especially on sensitive skin.
- The cleansing oil gently removes makeup, SPF and daily build-up without harshness, important for delicate skin. It’s best to use the cleansing oil first to thoroughly cleanse your face, as the Gua Sha experience should always be done on clean skin.
- The gua sha tool adds the bonus of facial massage: boosting circulation, helping de-puffing and offering a mindful ritual to switch off. Plus, it encourages you to slow down and think about your skincare regime.
- As a set from Pai, it makes a lovely gift: the trio is well-assembled and beautifully packaged, ideal for someone who wants to treat themselves or ease into a new skincare habit.
What you’ll need for your own Gua Sha at-home experience:
- Light Work™ Cleansing Oil (mini)
- Rosehip Bioregenerate™ Face Oil (mini)
- Aventurine gua sha massage stone (included)
- A clean towel, preferably soft and warm
- A quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be rushed
- (Optional) A mirror and maybe a diffuser or candle to make the moment feel special
Here’s how I have been using the products, and why i am a little bit obsessed with this set (side note: I am biased as I’m already a die-hard Pai Rosehip Oil fan).
Step-by-Step At Home Gua Sha and Rosehip Routine

1. Cleanse with the Cleansing Oil
Apply two to three pumps of the Light Work™ Cleansing Oil to dry skin. Gently massage it into your face and along the lash line to dissolve makeup, SPF and the day’s grime. Then add a splash of water to emulsify into a light milk and rinse thoroughly with water.
Tip: For sensitive skin, avoid rubbing too hard – use gentle circular motions.
2. Prep with Face Oil
After cleansing and patting your skin slightly damp, press 3-4 drops of the Rosehip Bioregenerate™ Face Oil into the skin. This will give your skin that nourishing base before the gua sha step.
Tip: Warm the drops between your fingertips and press gently across face and neck.
3. Gua Sha Massage

Now for the fun part: using the included Aventurine gua sha tool. Here’s how:
- Hold the curved side of the stone against your skin.
- Start at your neck, then move along the jawline and chin.
- Continue across the cheeks, then from the eyebrows upward to the hairline.
- Repeat each stroke five times on each area. I personally do a little more along the jawline and under the cheekbones, but it’s totally up to you how much time you have.
Tip: Use light to moderate pressure – especially for sensitive skin. Always stroke upwards and outwards to encourage drainage and lift.
Remember to never carry out a Gua Sha routine on dry skin, which can result in pulling dry skin too much.
4. Finish & Relax
Once you’ve completed the gua sha massage, you can either follow with your usual lightweight moisturiser or simply allow the oil to absorb. Take a moment to breathe, relax and enjoy how your skin feels – a little glow, a little more calm.
Tip: Use this routine in the evening when your skin is ready to reset for the night.
Why it’s a perfect gift for sensitive-skinned or ritual-loving friends
- The Rosehip Ritual set is explicitly labelled for “all skin types” and emphasises its gentle yet effective formulation.
- The combination of cleansing, nourishing oil and gua sha tool makes it more than just skincare – it becomes a moment.
- Beautiful packaging + thoughtful kit = giftable, Insta-worthy, and feels premium without being over-the-top. At £39, it’s a reasonably priced item for a best friend, sister or anyone who deserves a luxury update to their skincare.
- It’s ideal for someone who wants to build a self-care routine at home, especially when the evenings are shorter, slower and the mind could use a little unwind.

Tips for best results & soothing sensitive skin
- Always patch test new products, especially if skin is reactive.
- Use the gua sha tool 2-3 times a week rather than daily, until you’re comfortable with the pressure and technique.
- Keep the stone clean: wipe after use and store in a safe place.
- If skin is particularly reactive or inflamed, stick to cleansing and oil-pressing only until things calm down; then introduce gua sha.
- Pair the routine with restful sleep, hydration and gentle exfoliation (but not on the same night as a strong acid treatment) to maximise benefit.
Personally, I’m a big fan of both Rosehip oil and a good quality Gua Sha tool – however consistency is key, and repeated use of both of these together will bring a firming, glowing and calm skin routine. You can shop the Pai Rosehip Ritual here.
