Unveiling the Truth: Do ThisWorks Sleep Products Really Work?

Have you ever found yourself tossing and turning, unable to fall asleep despite counting sheep until the early hours? If so, you’re not alone. In today’s fast-paced world, achieving a restful night’s sleep can feel like an elusive dream for many. Enter ThisWorks Sleep Products – a range of solutions promising to help you drift off into a peaceful slumber effortlessly. But the burning question remains: do they truly deliver on their sleep-inducing claims?

They’ve been around for a long while – in fact, the iconic sleep spray was the first one I was ever introduced to and that was such a long time ago. It costs around £21 (you can often get it reduced from time to time on lookfantastic.com), and has a lot of hype around it.

Firstly, let’s delve into what makes ThisWorks Sleep Products stand out. Their formulations often include a blend of natural ingredients such as lavender, chamomile, and vetiver, renowned for their calming properties. These ingredients are thoughtfully combined to create aromatherapeutic experiences that aim to relax both the body and mind, setting the stage for a restorative night’s sleep.

One of the flagship products in the ThisWorks Sleep range is the Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. This mist, infused with a soothing blend of essential oils, is designed to be spritzed onto your pillow before bedtime, creating a tranquil environment conducive to sleep. Many users attest to its effectiveness, claiming that the scent helps them unwind and promotes a deeper, more restful sleep.

Another popular product is the Deep Sleep Body Cocoon, a rich body lotion formulated to nourish the skin while also enveloping you in a calming aroma. By incorporating this into your nighttime routine, ThisWorks promises to help you relax and prepare for a night of uninterrupted sleep.

But amidst the glowing reviews and promises of peaceful slumber, skepticism may linger. After all, with so many sleep aids on the market, it’s natural to wonder if ThisWorks Sleep Products truly live up to the hype. Can a relaxing scent really make you go to sleep?

I’ve been trying out a gift set from the brand, which I chose to do after going through a slightly more stressful time than usual. Once I’m asleep, I tend to stay asleep, but it’s the drifting off I battle with.

In short – a scent doesn’t just knock you out. Well it certainly doesn’t knock me out. But bear with me. These iconic formulations have actually sent me in such a relaxed state, that the land of nod has quickly crept up on me.

Hear me out…

While individual experiences may vary, there is evidence to suggest that the ingredients used in ThisWorks formulations have legitimate sleep-promoting properties. Lavender, for example, has been studied for its potential to improve sleep quality, while chamomile is widely recognized for its calming effects. I started getting myself into a ThisWorks routine so I could get the maximum benefit out of the products. While I’ve been struggling to sleep, I began by having either a bath with the Deep Sleep Bath Soak (absolutely incredible scent for the bath), or a shower with the shower gel, lighting the candle in my bedroom while doing my face wash, teeth, skincare and general bedtime regime, and snuggling down onto a pillow (or duvet sometimes) lightly misted with the legendary sleep spray.

I have to say when incorporating the routine, I did find myself drifting off to sleep quicker. Now some could argue is it a placebo effect? I honestly couldn’t say. But I do know – whether heightened to it all or not – I didn’t have that long drawn out tossing and turning stage.

However, it’s essential to approach sleep products with realistic expectations. While ThisWorks Sleep Products can certainly complement a healthy sleep routine, they are not a magic bullet for chronic sleep issues. Factors such as stress, lifestyle habits, and underlying health conditions can all impact sleep quality, and addressing these may require a multifaceted approach.

For me, I was aware of the regime and the products. But I was struggling to switch off at night, and although I didn’t zonk out straight away on night one of using them, by night 3 I drifted off so much quicker (can’t recall any tossing and turning times) and it continued for the duration I used the set for.

If you’ve not got chronic sleep problems or real concerning insomnia, I would honestly recommend trying the products. If any, just the sleep spray to start if you don’t want to hugely invest upfront.

While they may not be a cure-all for sleep troubles, incorporating ThisWorks Sleep Products into your evening ritual could be a step in the right direction towards achieving a more restful slumber. It was for me, and this set is actually the most loveliest set I’ve owned in a while, because the scent is just so calming.

Ultimately, the verdict on whether thisworks Sleep Products really work lies in personal experience. If you’re struggling to find your way to dreamland, perhaps giving them a try could be the key to unlocking a peaceful night’s sleep. After all, what have you got to lose – besides those restless nights?
