Exfolikate, Eradikate or Goat Milk?

Skincare superstar brand Kate Somerville, known for their clinically inspired skincare solutions, offers a range of cleansers that cater to different skin types and concerns. If you’re clued up about skincare – or just take a real interest – I’m sure you’ll have heard the words ‘Eradikate’ and ‘Exfolikate’ floating around whenever Kate Somerville is mentioned!

If you’re serious about a quality cleanser, you may be wondering which Kate Somerville cleanser is best for you. Let’s break down the benefits of the brands three hero cleansers: ExfoliKate Cleanser, Goat Milk Cleanser, and EradiKate Cleanser.

ExfoliKate Cleanser £39: For dull, pigmented, lacklustre skin

If you’re dealing with dull, lacklustre skin or want a cleanser that doubles as a gentle exfoliator, the ExfoliKate Cleanser is your go-to. It’s the one we’d recommend for those who struggle with pigmentation, fine lines, and overall ‘tired’ looking skin, however it’s gentle enough for all skin types.

Inspired by Kate’s iconic ExfoliKate treatment, this foaming cleanser contains glycolic and lactic acids to chemically exfoliate, while natural fruit enzymes work to remove dead skin cells. It’s perfect for:

  • Normal to combination skin types
  • Those seeking a brighter, smoother complexion
  • People who want to refine pores and improve skin texture

Gentle enough for daily use, this cleanser is ideal for anyone looking to boost their glow while cleansing thoroughly. Just remember to follow with sunscreen during the day, as exfoliating ingredients can increase sensitivity to UV rays.

Goat Milk Cleanser £39: For dry and sensitive skin

Sensitive or dry skin? Meet your match with the Goat Milk Cleanser. This creamy, luxurious formula is infused with goat milk, manuka honey, and avocado oil to soothe, hydrate, and gently cleanse the skin. Its nourishing properties make it perfect for:

  • Dry and sensitive skin types
  • Those prone to redness or irritation
  • People who want a gentle, non-stripping cleanser

This sulfate-free formula ensures that your skin’s natural barrier remains intact while providing a deep clean. It’s a comforting choice for anyone whose skin craves extra care and moisture.

EradiKate Cleanser: For Breakout-Prone Skin

Struggling with blemishes and excess oil? The EradiKate Cleanser is specifically designed to target acne and keep your skin clear. Formulated with 3% sulfur, it works to reduce breakouts, control oil production, and unclog pores. This cleanser is a must-have for:

  • Oily and acne-prone skin types
  • Those dealing with blackheads, whiteheads, or active acne
  • People who want a cleanser that treats and prevents breakouts

It’s a powerful yet gentle solution for acne-prone skin too, making it suitable for daily use without over-drying.

Which Cleanser Should You Choose?

The right cleanser for you depends on your skin type and primary concerns:

  • Choose ExfoliKate Cleanser if you want radiant, smooth skin and feel your skin needs regular exfoliation.
  • Opt for Goat Milk Cleanser if your skin is dry, sensitive, or in need of soothing hydration.
  • Pick EradiKate Cleanser if you’re battling acne, oily skin, or frequent breakouts.

Kate Somerville’s cleansers are designed to deliver professional-grade results at home, hence having a price tag that sits towards the more premium end. The brand is loved by fans all over the world, as there is a formula and product for every skin type and concern.

However, starting your skincare routine with the right cleanser is the most important step when it comes to your skincare regime, and there’s no need to feel overwhelmed when it comes to choosing the right one.

My Personal Results

Now this is a weird one – is it strange to say I fit into all three of these cleansers in some form? So if you’re reading this and wonder if you would benefit from more than one, that’s how I felt too. My skin is dry, so the Goat Milk Cleanser is a good daily one for me. However, it is also pigmented and dull, so I enjoy using the Exfolikate cleanser for that reason. And I adore a good exfoliation.

And guess what? Of course I’m prone to breakouts too, which made me swing towards the Eradikate. My breakouts are currently under control though, so for now I’m focusing on using the Goat Milk for everyday (which is just a creamy, dreamy daily cleanser for me) and the Exfolikate around twice a week.

I hope this write up helps if you’re interested in Kate Somerville cleansers and wanted an honest write up on them before purchasing. They are a more premium spend, so it’s best to spend time researching into the perfect one for you.
